Sydney Summer Recycling Pop-Ups ’23

By Luka Osborne

Hold onto your swimmers – Envirobank is excited to announce our first lineup of 100% Clean Recycling Sydney pop-up collections this Summer ’23 at select surf life saving clubs in the Eastern Suburbs.

We’ve partnered up with our awesome Surf Life Savers to create a host of beachside pop-up collection spots up and down the coast. Pack your swimmers and a towel; it’s time to get your 10c refunds for your 100% Clean Recycling!

Our recent pop-up at Clovelly Beach on Saturday, 28th January was a huge success!

Envirobank is excited to announce our first lineup of Sydney pop-up collections this summer. Bring your recycling but don’t forget your swimmers!

How to recycle at a pop-up collection

As a general rule, most drink containers between 150ml and 3L can be returned for a 10c refund under NSW’s Return and Earn container deposit scheme. Make sure your containers are empty, unbroken, uncrushed, and show a 10-cent refund marking on the label.

Our pop-ups run from 9:00am to 1:00pm and are generally set up near or next to the Surf Life Saving Club. The best way to get your 10c refund is to bring your eligible bottles and cans in an Envirobank Orange Bag, or in your own durable cardboard boxes or bags with a QR code attached. When you’re at the pop-up, log in to your Crunch Rewards account and register your drop-off by by scanning the QR codes or by entering the QR code number on each bag – make sure to select the right pop-up location.

If you don’t have either, that’s fine! Bring your eligible bottles and cans in your own box and our team can guide you through, so you can score that well-deserved refund!

We can accept up to 1,000 containers per person at our pop-up collections, but if you have a larger volume, book a Home Pickup Service and go in the draw to win $500* this summer!
