Recycling plastic bottles.

One million plastic bottles are bought every minute across the globe. Many of them contain water, a fluid that is perfectly drinkable straight out of the tap in much of the world, and most end up in landfill or worse, the ocean.

Faced with those kinds of numbers, and a material that takes 1000 years to break down, recycling is massively important. We accept many types of plastic bottles, but just remember, if you’re in Queensland and the Northern Territory, the lids must be removed.

Once the PET bottles are returned to Envirobank, we sort them and get them ready for collection by one of our local processing partners. The PET is then melted down and recycled back into a new plastic bottle.
