Pickup Service how-to guide.
DO’s and DON’Ts–the right way to prep your pickup.
Keep our service safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone!
By following these simple guidelines, you’ll help our team collect your containers quickly while ensuring a safe working environment. Start by making sure you’re tying orange bags correctly.
How-to guide
✅ DO
Make it a safe and easy pickup
- Use Orange bags – they make it easy for our team to quickly locate and transport containers, especially for glass and larger collections.
- Group or stack your bags or boxes together in an easy-to-grab pile to speed up collection.
- Make it safe and accessible – allow space for easy and quick loading, avoiding tight laneways.
How-to guide
❌ DON’T
Common mistakes to avoid
- Don’t overfill bags or boxes, and make sure there are no loose containers. Ensure boxes aren’t damp, flimsy or damaged.
- Don’t scatter your collection – make it easy to recognise and quick to grab.
- Don’t double-knot Orange bags. Tight knots require cutting, making them unusable.
- Careful of outdoor conditions – rain will cause boxes to break, and long-term exposure to UV will weaken Orange bags.

Booking notes
Provide clear instructions
- Leave booking notes with details on where our team can find your containers, even if you’re a regular customer, please provide instructions with each booking.
- Remember collections occur between 8am – 4pm on your selected date. We can’t guarantee a specific pickup time.
- You need at least 250 containers to book, but if you have a particularly large collection, please give us a rough idea of how many containers we’re collecting to help with planning.
By following these simple guidelines, you’ll ensure a quick and efficient pickup while helping us keep the process safe for everyone!
