Drop off your 10¢ bottle and can recycling at our Return and Earn pop-ups

By Carol Fung

Hold onto your swimmers in 2024 – Envirobank will continue hosting our 100% Clean Recycling pop-up collections up and down the coast of NSW this year so that you can Return and Earn.

We’ve teamed up with local surf life saving clubs along NSW’s coastline to host beachside pop-up collection points in Hunter-Central Coast, Northern Beaches, Illawarra South Coast and Eastern Suburbs. Bring your containers to your local surf club; it’s time to get your 10¢ refunds for your 100% Clean Recycling! (Don’t forget to pack your swimmers and a towel for your swim.)

Return and Earn by dropping off your 10¢ bottle and can recycling at our pop-up collections.

Bring your bottle and can recycling to one of our pop-ups. We’ll pay you 10¢ for every eligible container.

Schedule updates

Due to weather conditions or public holidays, from time to time we’ll need to reschedule our pop-up times. Check on our ‘Where to recycle‘ page for status updates.

Create an Envirobank Crunch account to register your drop-off. Once you’ve registered your bags or boxes of recycling into your account, hand them over to our team.

How to recycle at a pop-up collection

As a general rule, most drink containers between 150ml and 3L can be returned for a 10c refund under NSW’s Return and Earn container deposit scheme. Make sure your containers are empty, unbroken, uncrushed, and show a 10-cent refund marking on the label.

  1. Sign up
Create an Envirobank account so that you can register your recycling into your account. This ensures that your bottles and cans are tracked and paid to your account.
  2. Visit a pop-up
Bring your bottles and cans in Orange bags, your own durable bags or cardboard boxes to a pop-up. Make sure containers have a 10¢ refund symbol and barcode intact.
  3. Register your bags
When you arrive at the pop-up, you’ll need to register your bags in your account. To do this, select your pop-up location in your account and start scanning your Orange bag QR codes. Don’t worry, our team will help you with this.

If you don’t have bags or stickers, you can order them online. Our team will guide you through the drop-off process, so you can score that well-deserved refund!
