Update: Drop’n’go pod closures

By Vincey Chan

Update Drop’n’Go pod closures – 9 February, 2024

How to recycle 2

Recently we closed our Drop’n’Go pod systems in Queensland. The information below will help answer questions you may have and help you find a new refund point.

Are the pods permanently closed?
All Envirobank Drop’n’Go bag drop pods are currently closed. Containers for Change is currently exploring options for possible replacement services in the area. Sign up for the Containers for Change customer newsletter here or follow Containers for Change on socials to keep track of updates to the network.

Where can I find a replacement refund point?
Containers for Change offers a range of refund point options, including 24-hour bag drops, self-serve reverse vending machines and drive-in depots.

Free home collection is also available to Containers for Change members – you can sign up for a member number here.

Visit www.containersforchange.com.au/qld/where-to-return to find the return options that suit you. You can also download the Containers for Change app to book a free home collection with a member number, find a refund point or track your refunds.

You can also call Containers for Change on 13 42 42 for assistance with any of the options above.

What happens to the bags I have already deposited in a Drop’n’Go pod?

Rest assured, all bags that have been registered and deposited before the pods closed on January 31, 2024 will still be counted and paid. There may be a delay, but our teams at Envirobank are working hard to get you paid as soon as possible.

What about my Crunch account?

If you’d like to continue recycling through Crunch, you can bag drop at one of our depots in Banyo, Cooroy or Buderim, or use our Pickup Service for a collection service fee – check your Crunch account to see if these services suit your needs.

Should you have additional questions or concerns about your registered Drop’n’Go bags or your Crunch account, please reach out to our dedicated customer support team at customerservice@envirobank.com.au. The Containers for Change team cannot answer these queries.

Yours sincerely,
Envirobank Team
