Eco-travel: Envirobank’s partnership with Hilton Surfers Paradise
We’re proud to announce our new partnership with Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences, a company who recognises our critical responsibility to protect and preserve our beautiful planet and reduce their footprint. We’re excited to be supporting Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences leadership in driving sustainable travel and tourism in Australia.
On a global scale, Hilton have made a pledge to reduce their waste by 50%, by 2030. Hilton Surfers Paradise are proud to be taking leadership in implementing sustainability initiatives on a local level to drive the waste reduction strategy and divert waste from ending up in landfill.
Our impact so far.
Since Envirobank has joined forces with Hilton, in less than 3 months the hotel has reduced their carbon emissions footprint by approximately 867kg. In addition, Hilton Surfers Paradise have made the decision to ban all takeaway cups for Team Members, to further reduce the number of coffee cups that end up in landfill.
“Our partnership with Envirobank allows us on a daily basis, simply through recycling bottles & cans, to support hotel owner Dr Jerry Schwartz’ family charity: The Schwartz Foundation in its quest to support a wide range of deserving programs and areas of need within the community.”
– Karleigh Pearson, Marketing & Communications Manager at Hilton Surfers Paradise.
